Er kann nach Unternehmensangaben zum Aufbau von Supercomputern verwendet werden. Es ist das erste Mal, dass lenovo battery ein System mit Chips der beiden Anbieter vorstellt. Zudem ist es der erste Supercomputer eines fuhrenden Herstellers mit Nvidia-GPU, der weltweit erhältlich ist.


Der iDataPlex Dx360 M3 rechnet mit Intel-Xeon-CPUs und Tesla-Grafikprozessoren von Nvidia. Dabei arbeiten die Chips laut Sumit Gupta, Senior Manager der Tesla GPU Computing Group bei Nvidia, in einer ähnlichen Weise zusammen wie in einem PC. Je nach Konfiguration kommt der Senyo 620 mit Celeron- oder Core-2-Duo-CPU von Intel. Ihr stehen 2 GByte DDR2-RAM und eine 160-GByte-Festplatte zur Seite. Die Preise beginnen bei 475 respektive 700 Euro.


Transtec hat mit dem Senyo 620 einen 16,5 mal 16,5 mal 5 Zentimeter groben und 1,45 Kilogramm schweren Mini-PC vorgestellt. Der Nachfolger des Senyo 610 verbraucht nach Herstellerangaben unter Volllast maximal 40 Watt. Das Betriebsgerausch soll 21 Dezibel nicht übersteigen.


In dem aus gebürstetem Aluminium gefertigten Gehause arbeitet je nach Modell ein Intel-Celeron-Prozessor der Reihe 585 (2,16 GHz, 667 MHz Frontsidebus, 1 MByte L2-Cache) oder eine Core-2-Duo-CPU der Serie T8300 (2,4 GHz, 800 MHz Frontsidebus, 3 MByte L2-Cache). Der 2 GByte grobe Arbeitsspeicher lasst sich auf maximal 4 GByte erweitern. Als Massenspeicher dient eine 160 GByte grobe SATA-Festplatte.
