MSI brings new configurations of its U100 netbooks on the market


The new top version comes with Intel's Atom N280 CPU compaq presario f700 battery, larger hard drive and a stronger battery. The remaining detail is of the previous versions. The prices for the updated models are 329-349 €.


MSI has updated his model Wind U100 netbook. The new versions will be available immediately with Windows 7 starters in the colors black and white at prices from 329 € to have. The warranty is two years.


In the 349-euro tip configuration U100-1615W7S comes Intel's Atom processor N280 compaq presario v5000 battery (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz front side bus, 512 KB L2 cache) is used, while in the other variants of the slightly slower CPU Previous N270 (1.6 GHz 533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache) is installed. The hard disk capacity increases from 160 to 250 GByte. A 6-cell battery should provide for a significantly longer duration than the standard used 3-cell lenovo thinkpad t400 battery.


At the 10.2-inch display with LED backlight (1024 x 600 pixels resolution) and RAM equipment (1 GB), nothing changes. The weight remains the same at around 1.3 kilograms.


The remaining equipment is also in that of the previous versions. These include 802.11b/g/n WLAN (), Fast Ethernet, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, three USB ports and a VGA output.
